Winter and the Holidays are both times we can get lost in our personal thinking. They pull for visiting the past or provoke us to idealize the future (when will it all be over?) Instead we can notice that both past and future don’t exist except in thought and as we relax into this moment we can find our wisdom.

I recently completed an introductory course for photographers and artists in a photo studio in Kansas City Missouri. It was exciting to see people catch on to the automatic ways in which they think and help them notice how to let go of old stories and create something new. It always moves me to see people shift out of personal thinking and fall into wisdom without a handbook or a formula.

It’s all about awareness.
