Don’t Stop Believe-in-

From Michigan’s Rose Bowl win through the championship celebration to The San Francisco Forty Niners win on Sunday, I have been reminded to look at what I believe in – what I find fascinating about manifestation.  Then out of the blue, I discover the half-time entertainment for Sunday was Journey…a pretty famous San Francisco Band; and of course they performed Don’t Stop Believin’. At that point, San Francisco was behind by 17 and it did not look good.  And well, the rest is history.

The question about Don’t Stop Believe-in is believe in what or who?  Where do we put our faith – hopefully not in Vegas and the numbers – hopefully not in an object – or a person in the egoic sense.

Faith belongs to the inward journey – to the promise that when we discover who we truly are – our faith is exponentially greater.  The Spirit that shows up in games with high stakes is always interesting to watch.  Some say play off games are won or lost by mistakes and Sunday’s games had a few.  The talent, the hard work, the focus…these things belong to the inner person – the inner life which is supported by Spirit.

Believing in the amazing gifts that we are given to live and enjoy life, that is where the juice comes from – and that is eternal.

I have been a niners fan for a long time now.  I was watching when that Joe Cool guy was quarterback and led the Niners to super bowl glory.  So of course I am going to cheer them on February 11.  But I also have a great fondness for Kansas City -lots of friends there- so that team has a special spot in my heart as well.

But here is what I will believe-in – it will be the team with the greatest inward spirit of Love and Joy that will take the day.  And I believe every player has that potential as do we all..

In the meantime, enjoy this blast from the past – and Keep the Faith!
